We will continue to follow the latest news and guidance from the CDC and government officials to monitor the ongoing public health issues around coronavirus (COVID-19). The City of Long Beach has announced the closure of all recreation programs, classes, permits and reservations through March 31 st, or until further notice. All youth and adult sporting activities have been suspended through March 31st. We are expecting and looking forward to continuing current seasons in progress at the earliest possible date, when deemed safe to do so, and when approved by the City of Long Beach. Due to this latest news, the new proposed start date for Friday Night Beach Kickball has been moved out to kickoff on Friday, April 17 th, or once we are approved to do so, extending the entire season at least 2 weeks for now.
Active or previously submitted Volitude league registrations will remain valid and confirmed for all upcoming and/or postponed leagues, tournaments, and events. There will be no refunds issued at this time due to postponed or rescheduled games or leagues. All members are encouraged to continue sign-ups for upcoming Spring & Summer leagues, which we pray will be ready for kick-off by current start-up dates posted online in April (indoor leagues April 22 nd/23rd) and May (beach leagues May 30th/31st)!
In a case where the remaining games for current in-progress running seasons (beach football, beach soccer, and beach volleyball) are completely cancelled, we will apply a $5 per week credit to each participants account to be used for a future season. All upcoming Spring and Summer programs will remain open for registration, with dates subject to change and official start and end dates still TBD. In the event of a complete program cancellation, details about refunds and credits will be communicated at that time. We want to thank all of our members ahead of time for your patience and flexibility during these unprecedented times. We encourage you all reach out to others from the league and/or our staff if you are in need of anything during the difficult weeks ahead – we will use our network and do our best to find help for you!
The next couple of weeks/months will be a tough time for us as an organization and everyone else who works in the service industry (sports leagues, event management companies, small business owners, event planners, promoters, restaurants, bars, night clubs, etc. and all associated employees). We encourage your understanding and appreciate your help to get through the following weeks by paying it forward any way that you can – registering ahead of time for an upcoming program or event, ordering from your favorite restaurants/bars online for delivery or takeout, and anything else you can do to help support!
Take Care & God Bless!!! We look forward to seeing everyone again very soon!
